The history of the company began in 1890, when Joseph Binks laid the foundations of the modern spraying industry, having for the first time used an airless installation for liquid paints. Binks used his invention to save the opening of the Columbian exhibition in 1896. Just before it was to open, 90 percent of the exhibit buildings stood unpainted, but Binks saved the day when he put his cold-water paint spraying machines to work.

Today, Binks is used in virtually every industry all over the world.
